Fall for Art in the Hilltowns

Explore fall in the gorgeous Hilltowns of Western Mass and meet artists where they live and work. This year’s tour features twelve studios with 26 artists. Enjoy art demonstrations, performances, local food and drink.

The Hilltowns are just 30 minutes from the Berkshires, Springfield, Holyoke or Northampton. Spend the weekend — or just a few hours — enjoying memorable art and the unparalleled fall scenery of the Hilltowns of Western Mass.

We can’t wait to see you!

New this year!

Our tour hub is Worthington, MA, a bucolic village at the very center of the Hilltowns with restaurants and a brewery. Meet us at the Worthington Historical Society (6 Williamsburg Rd) which features eight artists, a food truck, art demonstrations and live music.

Print brochures will be available there (as well as at each studio location) with artist samples and the tour map.

The Hilltowns are beautiful and feel remote as they unfold between the Berkshires and the Pioneer Valley. Please note that restrooms and gas stations are not in every village. There are gas stations on Rte 20 in Russell, Rte 23 in Otis, Rte 116 in Ashfield, and Rte 9 in Williamsburg. Please have a full charge on your electric vehicle. Bathrooms are available at the Tour Hub and at the eateries listed, but not necessarily at all the studios. There is cell service for GPS systems in most, but not all places (the northern Hilltowns can be spotty), so map-reading skills may come in handy.
