Guy Matsuda

I reside in the small, rural town of Plainfield, MA where I share a home and have a studio that looks out onto an open meadow.  It’s a peaceful, meditative area where I’m able to create my work.

I mostly throw functional porcelain ware with an emphasis on using Asian glazes and other glazes with a portion of wood ash that tends to give a more fluid look.

My designs are simple and understated, meant to support the presentation of the food and not take away from it. My wares are made to be used.
