Kathryn Jensen is a watercolor artist who has lived in the Hilltowns for 25 years painting local sites. Her favorite subjects are farms and houses juxtaposed with the natural world, the Westfield River, and industrial buildings. The layering of the built environment is a fascination of hers. Unlike artists who compose tableaus that do not actually exist, the specific place in the painting is important to her. She publishes the Hilltown Calendar, a collection of local landscapes in watercolor.
