HOST 2024 – Tour Hub & Artsfest – Worthington Historical Society: 6 Williamsburg Rd

I work primarily with acrylic paint on wood  panels and canvas. Sometimes my paintings  are completely abstract. I also use abstract  realism, with elements of landscape, buildings,  and nature, but none of my work relates in any  direct way to places or objects in the outside  world. Instead, each painting is a conversation  with myself and my inner world using paint and  surface as the language.  I was a tapestry weaver in my 20’s and started writing  songs in my 40’s. I performed as a singer/songwriter in  the Valley for many years but brought my focus back  to painting during the pandemic. Painting is an integral  part of my inner journey, and an embodiment of things  loved, forgotten and longed for. It is where I allow  myself to be vulnerable and honest, and uniquely  myself.
