I have been creating sculpture for many years since my MFA in 1977.
My work has been influenced by a variety of sources; from mandalas to abstract constructivist sculpture, totem poles, and sculptures created by “drawing in space”: artists like David Smith, Mark Di Suvero, Joan Miro, and Pablo Picasso among others.

Since moving to Westhampton 3 1/2 years ago I have been working with the wood beams and logs on our property. The work has evolved from vertical columns with a few appendages to taller columns with brass or steel “arms” twisting out from the columns and supporting wood shapes which are brightly colored. The shapes interact with each other like a flock of birds in the sky.
